I've got the 2W7J19G367AA factory remote start on my 04 Screw.
The fob locks and unlocks the door just fine. When I hit the remote start it powers up like it is going to start and then shuts down. It tries five times and then gives up. It never cranks the engine over. It doesn't beep the horn either so no beep codes.

 

Oh it's something with the PATS bypass. If I hold a key up to the column it will start. I tried programming it but it doesn't work

 

Yupp, typical. The PATS bypass that the OEM starters use are trash. I replace 10 or so a year....

You can try reprogramming it and it might work for a bit. or have it replaced with a proper data bypass and it'll never fail again.

How did you try programming it?
