Blower motor runs with key off

Blower motor runs with key off

i have an intermittent issue with my blower motor running with my key off, it will cut off if i shut heater control off though , anybody else have this issue?

I guess we're just supposed to guess what you're working on?

The crystal ball has been in the shop lately. If you want technical assistance, you have to supply enough information so that a reasonably analysis can be made.

my profile only has 1 vehichle listed, its a 00 f-150 xlt, 5.4l supercab 4r70 4sp auto

I would look for a stuck relay. (I don't know if that model uses a relay but that's where I would start.) Do you have an electrical service manual? If not, get one.

Does the fan control vary the fan speed or does it always run at the same speed? Have you pulled the fan fuse to see if that stops it?

That information needs to be put into the post in the first place or you need to put it in your signature.



Probably "Leaky Windshield Syndrome". This is one of the typical problems associated with water in the fuse box and the GEM module.
