I use my moonroof on a very regular basis but today when I went to open it, it stuttered and didnt open all the way. When I went to close it, I had to hold the switch to make it close all the way and made a loud popping noise when it closed all the way. I thought maybe something had just been stuck in it so I tilted it to see if anything would fall out but now it will not close. When I press the tilt button, it will close almost all the way then stop and open back up. Has anyone ever had this problem? I have searched a lot of threads but could not find any that matched exactly my problem. I am bringing it to the dealership first thing in the morning but any advice would be much appreciated.

 

Mine just did the same thing to me today. 2009 with 140k miles. Way too common of a problem from what I've been finding. Ordering the parts tonight from /http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/
$120 and a day of my time rather than $1200-1500 from local body shop and "stealership".
