Stock fog lamps 2001 supercrew

Ok so i have a 2001 supercrew xlt and i was going to install my hella 500ff driving lamps they run 55w which is the same as the stock lamps and i was thinking as a shortcut i would cut the wires for my stock fogs and run the hellas off them so i bypass a new switch but i was thinking of maybe keeping the stock fogs wired in and running the hellas into them for more light bad idea? And if i do this do i need bigger wires or new fuses the stock one is running a 15 amp, thanks

1. The stock bulb is a 9145, which is 45W, not 55W.

2. Either way you go with this ( replacement or adding ) use the relay ( wired direct to the battery ) that comes with the PIAA lamps, and use the +VDC on the factory fog lamps to trigger that relay.
