Cruise Control Not Working on Expy
I have a 2007 EB Expedition that just stopped working on cruise
I have checked all fuses, the brake lights and ran a self test to see if that would work
well no luck at all and no lights will come on, any help other then thinking that it may need a new steering wheel buttons
thanks
joseph

1. what fuses did you check and how did you check them ?
- Did you pull the fuses, look at them and reinstall or test with a meter to the test pins on the back of the fuse while installed and the correct operation happening ( EG: pressing on the brake pedal ).
2. Are the brake lamps the normal type bulbs or LEDs ?
- also did you check the CHMSL ( Center High Mount Stop Lamp aka 3rd brake light ) ?
3. What engine is in your truck ( 4.2L, 4.6L or 5.4L ) ?

I did meter test and all brake lights work as should
I have to normal lights and 3rd brake light does work
and the expo has the 5.4l
I did see that where the brake light switch is on the pedal there is also another switch that is blue and white and the master celynder doesn't have the pressure switch on it
thinking the problem might be the blue and white switch is it

you need to get into the PCM and check for DTCs related to the speed control, there are several non-MIL codes that can be posted when certain components fail.

That also makes no sense since the front marker lights are in no way connected to the vehicle speed control electronics. The ONLY light bulb in the whole truck that can cause the speed control to fail to operate is the high mount stop lamp, if open or if replaced with LEDs without a pull-down.
