P1233 New FPDM New Fuel Pump

Truck is an extended cab '04 w/ 5.4 & 103k miles. It began throwing P1233. FPDM & Fuel Pump have been replaced. Grounds at all connector sites pass tests. Code remains.

I've never experienced the no-start condition associated with this code.

The only other issue with the truck is an ugly 2-3 & 3-4 stuttered shift.

Beginning to think that the code is somehow stuck in the PCM, but I don't want to go replacing more parts that apparently don't need replacing.

I searched the forums, but wasn't able to find this exact issue. Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks.

Don't know exactly what you mean by stuttered shifts, but have the spark plugs ever been changed?

Stuttered shift as in it stutters to go into the next gear or overdrive in certain situations.

EDIT: Plugs have not been done. Was thinking of another vehicle.

Found this for that code:

You may experience stalling, no-starts, random no-starts, or other potential symptoms. A quick search over at MotorcraftService.com (a Ford service web site), they offer the following possible causes if the P1233 code is triggered:

Inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch needs to be reset.
Open FPDM ground circuit
Open circuit to FPDM PWR RLY
Open FPDM PWR circuit
Open or shorted FPM circuit (engine should start).
Damaged IFS switch.
Damaged FPDM PWR RLY
Damaged FPDM
Damaged PCM

If the truck is running okay, reset the code and see if it comes back.

Truck is running okay. I have tried the following to alleviate the code:

Start truck. Clear code with scan tool. Let truck run for 1 minute or 60 minutes. Shut truck off. Turn truck on. It starts & code shows up within 15 seconds.

Start truck. Clear code with scan tool. Drive 25 miles. Turn truck off. It sits til cold. Turn truck on. It starts & code shows up within 15 seconds.

Turn key to ON position, but not start the engine. Disconnect the battery. Wait 1-2 minutes. Connect battery. Start truck & code is off. Drive 50+ miles. Turn truck off. Turn truck on. It starts & code shows up within 15 seconds.

IFS has been reset. Grounds tested near FPDM and fuel pump connectors.
