How To Quickly Get Your Stuck Window UP
I've owned a 2001 and 2004 f-150 which both, of course, had the Classic Ford Window Problem. Sometimes it will do your bidding, sometimes it won't.
One way to determine if it's the motor, the switch or something mechanical is to try this.
How to get your stuck window up:
Stand beside the truck with the door open, facing the edge of the door. With your palms flat, press both hands firmly against the glass, one on the outside and one on the inside. Push the window glass up. It should slide up an inch or so. Holding pressure against the glass with the Inside hand, press the Up Window button. The window motor will, hopefully, take up the slack and hold the glass in the new position.
Lather, Rinse, Repeat until the glass is all the way up.
This works if your problem is mechanical (stiff, stuck regulator linkage) which, in my experience, it usually is.
