Hello all i have a 2000 150 xlt 4.6l 2wd i just installed a soundstream remote start with the fortin key override all bypass the issue im having is the parking light + wire coming off the headlight switch is when i turn the parking lights on with the switch the theft light flashes fast and then when i shut it off the alarm flashes the lights and honks the horn.... should there be a relay between them or is direct wired to the remote start okay? The manual says nothig about a relay being used but it was a pretty vague install booklet

I deleted the other thread you started on this subject in the Aftermarket section. We've found that multiple threads created on the same subject lead to confusing responses that will waste your time and sometimes lead you to unnecessary expense.

I think you'll get the best advice here and hope someone helps you soon.

That should not happen. Double check the wire ou used, both on the remote starter and the bypass module. The parklight and security have nothing to do with each other.
