i bought a salvage 2005 f150 to replace my bed on my 2006. i also want to install the hitch with the bumper from the 2005. the problem is the harness on the rear of my f150 (2006) is a bigger white connector, where as the 2005 has a smaller red one. does anyone know if i need some sort of an adapter? or where can i find some schematics for both?

That 2005 Connector is the one shown in the 2004 EVTM, I would guess it is a very early 2005 My build date ( used up the old stock ).

There is not an adapter, you will need to make you own by either going back to the parts breaker and getting the truck side ( not my 1st choice ) or finding a later build 2005 or 2006 + at a breaker and getting the harness off one of them.
