My 06 will just drop out of the cruise mode randomly. With cruise set the cruise will just drop off as if you turned it off or the brake was touched. It may or may not be able to reset. It is completely random and has no pattern what so ever. I may try to turn it on and will not set at all. Then minutes later try again and it will set. Or it may be set and all of a sudden turns itself off. All other functions of the cruise work normally. It may not do it for weeks on end then start acting up again. It seems to do it more in very hot weather, but not always. Is there a relay associated with the cruise control? I know how fickle relays can be and that was my first line of thought. Can the ignition switch cause the issue? That was my second line of thought. This truck is bone stock...not one LED. The brake lights are fine. And with it failing during a set cruise, it has me baffled. Any of you guys have a clue as to this ghostly problem?
