This information is still good, I hooked up the third brake light on my topper last night. It took me a while to find the wire on my 2003 SCAB. It tees off the wires going to the left tail light as noted, but it was tucked up above the frame rail where the bumper bolts on. There was a bright green piece of tape holding the end of the green wire to it's bundle, so that made it easier to spot. I used quick connects at the topper and underneath the truck so I can remove the topper or remove the wire I added easily. Great tip!!!

 

I'm old enough to remember when vehicles didn't have the third brake lights.

I dont know about you but I am too used to them now I just tune them out. I don't think if the third brake light blinks that it's a bad thing. If anything it's more noticable.
