Alternator sensing wire and Big 4 Question

I just did my Big 4 this weekend on My 07 F-150 and because I used Kolossus Fleks Kable 1/0 Thats stuff just to big to keep the stock .So I removed the stock wires I had to pull the 14 gauge with the fusible 18 link 1/2 way down the old Alt. to Batt. cable at the factory splice..My question is can I just get a foot of 14 gauge and tie it in at the positive battery clamp along side my new positive cable or should it be put back in the new line 18 inch after the battery around my new inline fuse . like it was on the stock 8 gauge with its fusible links and not a fuse . Thanks

Tie it back to the battery B+. That is the spot the alternator regulates the voltage.
