no position 10

I checked all the fuses..all ok and proper amp. According to the manual. I also checked all the not used positions.

Could there be a fuse in the wiring?

just because a fuse looks ok doesnt mean its a good fuse. replace that position and see wut happens. there will be no other fuse.

Were you using the cigarette lighter (right Side), or the Power Point (Left Side)

Might want to look at your Owners Manual, or download one from the URL provided vabove :

Position 10 is not used in the Central Junction Box ( aka pass compartment fuse panel ).
Position 10 in the Battery Junction Box ( aka, under the hood fuse panel ) is the Power Point Fuse 25 A.

I am guessing tht you are not even in the correct fuse panel.

The other item to check:
It seems as if you are using a 12V DC male plug, with the ends on terminals or set screwd to the charger. Some 12V DC plugs also have a mini glass fuse in the end of them ( silver point twists off ), which could blow first ( and are usually much smaller then the cigar lighter plug fuse ).

Let's try the old school electrical outlet test, try another device in the outlet to see if it works ( Cell phone charger ):
If it does, replace the fuse ( if replacable ) in the cord set you are using.
If the cell phone charger does not work, replace fuse #10 under the hood.

Can you complete your profile or post the information on your truck ?

What is not working ?
- Cigar lighter, or one of the power points, and if a power point which one..

sorry I am learning this web site. I have updated my profile info but still need to add more to it.

The power port is the issue. My truck only has the one next to the cig lighter. I plugged in one of those harbor freight heater defrosters and it went out after 5 minutes. I have searched high and low replaced EVERY fuse under the dash and hood. Still no luck to make that turkey work.

my truck is a 2000 f150 4.2l 5 speed. CIA, throttle body spacer, hollow 4 cats, resonator, o2 fowlers, sct itsx

Not sure why you are randomly replacing fuses, it is the under hood fuse panel, fuse #1, 20A.

If you tested the fuse, and it is good, did you check for +VDC at the power port ?
- Could be the harbor freight item broke, it would not be far fetched that it did.

BTW : Testing the fuse is checking for +VDC on each pin on the back of the fuse, while installed, to a known good ground.
