Red Door Lights 03 Supercrew

My front doors have red lenses in them. I don't remember them ever coming on. Is this just a reflector and they only work on some versions/options?

Just a reflector, the older trucks had a light there, you could wire up a light if you wanted the added safety, but a reflector is all you really need.

If you look through the lens you can see a large X shape that is the opening that a bulb holder would twist and lock into place.

Think '01 was the last year for the light in there.

This is an old thread on the topic, at the time the OP has a 2002 SCrew I do believe

Missing those courtesy lights!

Could be a build location item ???
Blue Island had a 2002, if memory serves me correctly.
Then again, my memory usually gives me a dirty dish with a cigarette butt in the mashed potato, instead of the meatloaf special that I ordered.

Edit:

FF find feature works wonders. Seached and some members with 2003 had them, as well as some 2002 owners, so I am now down to guess it is a build location thing. Forget where my '01 was built, Flint ???
