ignition gremlin?

For the past several months I have noticed when I take my key out of the ignition the warning chimes are on. I have not left any lights on nor are the doors open. The first time this was ignored the battery died. Then after that I have just put the key back in, turned over and removed the key and the chimes are not on. All is good. Of course I somehow ignored my own practice and ended up with a dead battery again. Again, no lights or doors open to activate the chime. ?ignition. I have access to AllData so if anyone can direct me with info from that sight, I do have a subscription.
Thanks, Jenn

Sounds like a faulty ignition switch.
