My air bag light on the dash will flash 4x pause and then 2x. I searched the forums and some people have had similer problems and they either replaced the sensor on the front bumper or were lucky to just clean the contacts and it worked. I tried cleaning the contacts that didn't help. I was looking under the passenger and drivers seat to see if any on the wires came loose and I noticed under the passenger seat that there is a little black box that has 8 wires going into it and the mounting tabs are broke off. I was wondering if this box is the sensor for the passenger seat air bag and is that why the light is on, on the dash?

you are correct in your identification of the front sensor. The RCM module is under the seat and it has 8 wires. The wires that you are interested in are a pink and orange which is the feed and a violet and light green colors are the return The connection could be loose at the RCM or there may be damaged at the module or the sensor could be bad. The color coded wires are a 2007 manual as so they may be a different colo for yours. The wires are the 4th and 5th from the connector end of the RCM

 

The pin locations are the 4th and 5th wires from the connector coming into to the RCM
