Sears diehard platinum battery

Was looking for a new battery for my 07 5.4 since my stocker is starting to go, upon charging I get an open cell code.

After reading a bunch of threads Sears Die hard Platinum is pretty good. When I go to their site it does not show that battery as fitting my truck. It only shows the gold series fitting my vehicle.

Does anyone else have the platinum in the 11th gen f150?
Any other suggestion for batteries?

I was thinking a Deka but they are in-store buy only and the nearest one to me is 250 miles away.

Thanks in advanced

Look for an Odyssey - that's who makes the Die Hard Platinum for Sears.

What does your owner's manual say. I would think the group size is what you need to look for as long as it has adequate amps. I wouldn't be stuck on any particular brand. Most batteries are made by the same company.

Not stuck just been looking for the best and after reading on here for the past few hours it seems to be diehard platinum, deka, or Odyssey which makes or die hard platinum.

I'll cinch my owners manual tomorrow after work
Looks like guys on here are fitting the 65 in the place of the 59 with no modification.

My biggest concern is CCA , and length of life. I live in a very cold climate area and the stock one has troubles starting my truck when it was 0 or less. The 800CCA napa battery in my 02 starts with ease on those days and that was with a grinding starter..

I went with the interstate MT plus. Reasonable price, bigger than factory, and warranty supported locally. I'd rather replace it at 4-5 years than pay 250 for a battery.

If you are looking at a Interstate, you may as well buy a Walmart battery, they are the same and the Walmart is 1/3 to 1/2 the cost. Had Walmarts in my super duty(2) and they lasted over 5 years.

I buy the 65 HD at Sams for about $125 exchange. I've bought 6 of them over several years. They are 800 or so amps.

I've been shopping for batteries today, one for my 95 Mustang GT and one for my DD 2000 Contourd.

One thing I discovered is that all the auto parts stores, Sears, and Walmart have gone to a fixed two or three year full replacement warranty with no subsequent prorating of any additional warranty (since there isn't any).

The only seller I've found so far that offers a prorated warranty beyond the initial term surprised me! It was the local Ford dealer and a Motorcraft batteries!

Competitively priced, too, I might add. $100-120 plus tax w/exchange.

I was actually debating another motorcraft battery, but the one with 740 cca. Don't remember the pricing tho..

Sadly I won't ever buy anything from the dealer in town, mainly because how I was treated when I was looking for a new vehicle.

I'd go something you can have easy access too. Yeah you can get great amazing super dooper batteries but why spend stupid money? I almost went the Sears HD but then thought about it. Over 200 for a damn battery? They all fail. By that time it's under warranty or I'd have money for a new one.
