B1867 Airbag.

Sorry in advance guys for bringing up this topic again. I did search and read all related topics before posting. I want to attempt to replace the fuse but would like some input, please.

In Breif:
1997 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L
This has been a fricken pain for a year now.
Retrieved code from a couple of Ford Dealers (B1867).
Currently flashing 12 and I think at one point it was flashing 52.
Have read through the C&P Point Test A offered by all senior members in other threads.
Understand that this may activate bags if not done correctly.

My questions are:
1: How do I know if the fuse is blown?
2: If I wait longer than a minute after disconnecting the Neg. side of the battery will screw up the system also?
3: Will I have to return to a mech. to clear the light or will it clear from disconnecting and reconnecting the battery?
4: Is there a specific procedure to hook the battery up again to power the system?

I fully understand that the advice being given is only to help me understand the concept behind the airbag system and will not hold this forum or anyone else accountable.

THERE, Now can I get some advice pleeeeease. lol.
