Unhappy airbag light help

Hi I have a 1998 F150 and it has a silly sound and also the airbag light in the lower right hand corner of the dash that blinks in a sequence of 3-2 five times and then is on
would you please tell me how to fix that or what do I do?
Thanks
Angie

FC 32/DTC B1932 — DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE OR OPEN

Unless you know what you are doing around the airbag system, it is highly recommended that you leave the servicing of this system to a professional who has the proper training and equipment to diagnose and repair the system.

You didn't mention it, but how are your horn and cruise functions?

My 94 Escort had the same code. I took it to the dealer and, without even looking at the car, they told me it was the clock spring in the steering column. I thanked them and then did some research on the problem. I took the car home found a TSB listing about the problem, obtained a copy of the TSB and then checked the circuit IAW the TSB. It seems that if the air bag circuit resistance gets above 3.2 Ohms the airbag light flashes a 32 code. I found a connector in the circuit with the pin contact resistance slightly higher than specs. I cleaned up the pins and applied a little dielectric grease and haven't had any further problems in the last six years. Be careful! Follow all precautions in the service manual (Haynes) before working on the air bag circuit. If you don't disconnect the battery and wait a specified period of time for the circuit back up power supply to discharge you could inflate the air bag, and that is dangerous and expensive. By the way, the TSB for the Escort is TSB 95201. If you can get a copy of it, it may give you some insight into your problem although it will not be a direct reference for your vehicle. Good Luck and BE CAREFUL!!

I just went throught this, but I knew I caused the problem by pulling the fuse out of the airbag system with the battery connected. DO NOT DO THAT.

So far, I have not found a diy method to reset the airbag module. I took it to the dealer and they did it. Easiest $54 they ever made.
