I dont know if anyone has had this problem, but when I start my truck, it takes about 10 to 15 seconds for my mileage gauge to turn on. Then sometimes if i step on the gas from a dead stop, it shuts off for another 10 seconds or so. Does anybody know what is happening? Thanks for the input.

 

Pretty sure you have a known problem with the guage pack. There is a solder joint that fails. A good solid rap on the dash above the gauge pack will often times make it go on and off too. There is a really good post on this and I just used it to fix my Odometer this week. It was correct right down to the pin. See this link to go to the post. Not too bad of a job. Would take about 4 hours if you worked non-stop.
