just had the same problem with 2000 f150, unplug your pcm relay and replaced fuse, it quit blowing, so used ohm meter and started checking for grounded components, found the egr pressure sensor bad, unplugged it and replugged relay and fuse did not blow, replaced sensor and truck has ran good ever since, and mine did same thing it quit, ran for 20 miles, then i hit a bump and then it started blowing fuses until we found problem hope this helps

ok pull your air intake stuff off, looking from front of truck on your right side there is a silver box with an oblong connecter, and i think three hoses, it is an egr pressure sensor or egr vacuum regulator (don't know what it's called) and unplug that, go ahead and plug your relay back in if fuse does not blow that is your problem, i paid about $44.00 for it, hope this info helps, Good Luck, all this electrical stuff can get nerve racking and fuses can get a little expensive. Also if you have an ohm meter thats a plus, that will save your fuses, Going to church right now will check back when I return, good luck

Please notice how many circuit devices are on this fuse, so don't focus solely on the DPFE sensor as mentioned.

You really need an ohmmeter....

Steve

PS. Check the O2 sensor harness first to make certain they haven't melted onto the exhaust...

went to bone yard and got 2 dozen 30amp fuses....started to unplug sensors one at a time,,,,,started with egr then unpluged passenger side oxygen sensor ..fuse #24 did not blow....sensor was good....problem was a pinched cable running across top back of engine..feeding both oxygen sensors..
thanks for the help it started me in the right direction ......these so called mechanics around here charge 65.00 hour just to look..
