2005 F150 Alternator Help!!!!!!
I want to replace the 110 amp alternator in my 2005 F150 XLT with a higher amp output alternator. (Too many aftermarket add ons)
I cant seem to find anything for it. After some research I found that the 2005FX4's come w/a 130 amp from the factory. Will this bolt up to mine and work ok? My truck is the 5.4 3v.
The dealership cant seem to figure this out.
Thanks.

Are you sure of your amp size? I was looking at the window sticker for my 2004 STX and even though it came with no factory power options, it had a 130 amp alt stock from the factory.
Power drawing options I have added;
Cruise
Power Mirrors
Power door locks
Alarm
Remote Keyless entry
Keypad with it's own module
Alpine Amp
Clarion powered sub woofer
KW-AVX-706 monitor/dvd headunit.
Rear camera
Rear motion detector
Power seats
Power windows
Tailgate power lock
Tonneau power lock
Tweeters
ScanGauge
Homelink
And my battery is still where it should be, my voltage while running is fine even with all these new toys.
What the heck did you put in?
