domelight and all inside lights

I have a 2002 Screw but on mine the door ajar light only comes on when you realy have one of the doors open. The dome light and all the inside lights will stay on all the time and the radio turns off when I put it into reverse or drive.

Thanks Kev.

Thanks! My daughter's 2003 EB Explorer is doing this intermittently. I will try this fix tomorrow.

So has anyone figured out why this still happens when I take BOTH switches OUT of each door, so there is no "stuck" switch, and is there a wire that I can cut to make it stop that annoying BEEP! I've already pulled the GEM out and there is no evidence of a leaky windshield (I had read elsewhere where this was a problem "fouling" the GEM module causing weird things to happen. This is very close to becoming a deal breaker.

ok,i just noticed last weekend my dome light isn't coming on when i open the door and the radio and headlights stay on when i turn off the truck and open the door. also there is no buzzer letting you know the keys are still in the ignition. radio and headlights go out after a couple minutes. this is a 2004 f150. dome light wont work on any of the 4 doors. i cant find a fuse for the dome, but it works with the dimmer switch. could the door switches also cause this? thanks

with the sun roof the drains go down the A piller to the fire wall. the fitting at the fire wall gets cluged and causes the water to come out of the drain. remove the fitting and drill it out and the problem wont come back again.

Hi everyone I am new here. First post- thanks Lee ! That is what I have been looking for. I have talked to many F150 owners in my area and all think I am joking about the lights. Thought I was only one having this problem. Mine also will not let you lock or unlock doors from inside or outside by entering code.Only way to lock is with remote keyfob.
