need help with trailer lights

need help with trailer lights

Can someone help me I have a 97 expedition that i tow with.I have a new trailer that the brake lights and the turn signals will not work.they did work last week but they dont work now.The suv has a 7 pin and the trailer has a 4 and i use a 7 to 4 adapter.When i turn on the lights in the expedition all the lights on the trailer come on but the brakes lights and the turn signal still dont work.I look at the fuses under the dash and they look ok.Can there be a fuses somewhere else if so can you tell me where because i dont know anything about cars.

Put your 4 ways on and test at the connector for the flashing voltage on the brake lite pins for both sides, then do the same for each side with the directional signals, then have someone step on the brakes.
If it is there, the trailer has a problem.

factory tow package has fuses under the hood also in the power dist. box.

thanks for the help it was the fuse under the hood.
