Power Window Fuse/circuit breaker

I have a 1998 F150 that both power windows will not work. Where is the fuse or circuit breaker located?

Fuse #14 in the passenger compartment fuse Panel should be for power windows.

It should be the second row down and the third fuse to the right.
It should be a 15 amp fuse.

Thanks, I checked fuse 14 and it is not blown. My manual does not list any fuse for power windows. Could it be a circuit breaker for the windows somewhere?

Fuse #110 in the power distribution box according to my 1999 owners manual. It is a 30 amp Maxi fuse.

My 98 is different from the 99 model. Is fuse #110 listed in the manual as being for the power windows? My 98 manual does not list any fuse as being for the power windows.

Fuse #110 is listed as power windows in my manual (1999). Yours could be different. Do you have a fuse in your power distribution box in the location shown in the picture?

My owners manual shows fuses for the passenger fuse box and the power distribution fuse box. The power distribution fuse box is in the engine compartment.

Power window problems!!!!

So I lost the power to my window. Its a 98 F-150. I've got power to one side of the plug where the motor plugs in on the wire harness. One wire goes to the Switch cluster and one looks like it goes to the dash. The wire that goes to the Switch becomes hot when you push the switch up. The wire does nothing when you push the switch down. I baught a new Motor, No results. I baught a new switch, no results. Does the wire that goes to the dash go to a Fuse that might be bad? Trying to get it fix. I need some help please!

Possibly relays involved because the - & + have to reverse for the window to go up or down. Normally done with relays.

Without knowing what wires you are checking, not much I can suggest.

The left power window switch is wired to the GEM, and the OTD ( One Touch Down ) function of the left front window is controlled by the GEM.
The up and down function is controlled by the switch.
- The at "rest" position of the switch, the circuits are connected to ground, when the switch is pushed up the ground is opened and + VDC applied.

Here are the diagrams for the 97/98 Power Windows.

2002 ford f150 crew cab

2002 ford f 150 crew cab 5.4 just got the vehicle, was wrecked, the roof caved in a few inches, the electric windows are not working properly. The main drivers control will operate the drivers window, the ft. pass window, and the right rear, and the left rear only in the down position, it will not raise up. The control on the left rear will not work at all, the control on the rt. rear will not work at all and the control on the ft. right will not work at all. where do I start to trouble shoot..I have no owers manual either.

power windows fixed

I checked all my fuses inside and in the engine compartment. I then checked the window motors with a jump wire, straight off the battery and grounded on the door. All motors worked up or down. I watched a you tube video on how to take apart the master window switch and clean the contacts. Once inside the switch, use small narrow pieces of stiff card board to clean the contacts. You will need something small to push the contacts together while you push- pull the cardboard between the contacts. Once I put that together, presto all the windows worked from the master switch and at each door switch.

THEFIX for power window fuse

The fuse is the #14 which is the GEM fuse (generic electronic module) or the #15, which controls the interior light also. It should be a 15 amp.
