Product Wiki

I often come here looking for advice on products. One of the things that would be helpful is to know what's available. For instance, I came looking for brush guards and had to search several times and go through a lot of posts on the subject.

What about a product Wiki? Let the vendors and users edit it. Combine in the reviews, but let any product for an F150 be listed in the right category. It would really help with finding stuff.

Yes, however I believe Brush Guards is an excellent situation where the existing directory isn't working. Manik and Westin in particular are two of the more popular options, not listed at all.

That's why I suggest putting it in the hands of the users and the vendors, making it fully dynamic. It need not be a true Wiki, but anyone who makes, sells, or uses stuff should be able to add it, and other users should be able to link to pictures, reviews, etc. When looking for a Brush Guard it would be nice to go one place, see the 10 vendors who offer them, links to members who have pictures in their profile of them installed, reviews, etc.

I know that Internet Brands is high on wiki's, so I will make sure they see this idea. No guarantees of something happening immediately, but I wanted to let you know...
