The site has not been performing at 100% for the past few weeks, but not to a point where it should be running horribly slow, rather at maybe 95%. When you find that it is very slow (and it is not during our two daily backup periods), try running a tracert and see the results. It may be your ISP or another hop between you and us.

Dumb question... how do you run tracert and keep it on the screen rather than it running and closing on its own?

Click "Start"
Click "Run..."
Type "cmd"

In the DOS window, run your tracert.

(this is in Windows, of course)

Ahh... thanks. I was running it from the RUN prompt rather than in DOS.

The server is too busy to complete your request at the moment.

Please wait a few moments and do not click refresh immediately, as that will only increase the wait time.

You will receive this message when the load on the server exceeds an admin specified value.

If you are receiving this notification at 10am ET or 10pm ET, it is likely that we are performing an automated database backup. This process is server intensive and takes a few minutes to complete.
