F150 V8 SCT X4 Tuner

Hi all,

I upgraded tires on my stock rims to 285/70/17 Nitto Grappler 2 and bought an SCT x4 tuner to adjust tire size. I programed it to the stock 87 octane and plugged in my tire revs. I got more power with bigger tires and same if not a little better gas mileage. The only problem is it seems like it holds 1st gear for a long time up to 10mph and tries as quickly as it can to get into 6th gear around 40mph. I feel like the engine bogs down to easily. I think I can make adjustments to gears utilizing the WOT shift option on the X4 tuner along with my 87 octane tune. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what I should adjust this to? 1-2 gear is currently set to 0mph, you can go up to 7mph or down to -3mph (not sure what that means?). Same settings for 5-6. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend you contact one of the reputable tuning houses mentioned in this forum and get a set of CUSTOM tunes written for you. Don't try to do it yourself, just tell them what you want. If you are not satisfied, they will work with you and rewrite the tunes accordingly.
