New xcal making truck shift a little odd

New to the board, just installed a xcal tuner in my 2012 ford f150 3.7 and it's shifting a little odd, quick into first and second and a little delay into 3rd. Any suggestions and does it take time for the PCM to get familiar to the tune,

Welcome to the site.... going to move this up to TUNERS but, to answer your question -- you're correct in thinking that the PCM will balance it out after a bit. After tuning, most will have a much more pronounced shift thus making you wonder if something is wrong. Give the PCM a bit -- it'll probably still be firmer than stock but, it'll be way less noticeable.

Thanks for the replies and welcoming. It's a custome tune from mike and after installing truck had a lot more response but was just concerned with shifting. This is my first tuner so was a little questionable , also added bigger tires and exhaust sice giving him tunes and didn't know if that made much difference , but have emailed mike and he is very quick with responding and very customer friendy, no complaints and have heard nothing but good, ready to get moving a lot faster.
