custom tunes deliver the most. In my opinion, the two best pieces of hardware for custom tunes are Xcal3 or Gryphon. Between those you need to decide if the gauges the Gryphon provide are important to you. If so, PHP is the only company to offer custom tunes for the Gryphon. If the gauges and monitor are not important, then an Xcal3 tuned by Troyer, PHP or VMP will be the way to go.

I bought a Superchips tuner for my '01 and was not impressed on any setting. I just found a used Evo for my 2006 about a month ago, and am extremely satisfied with it. I'm not sure how well the Edge products are on the pre-2004 trucks, but if it's even close to what I have now then you will be very happy.

I got mine from VMP and it has made a huge difference in everything you are looking for. The Xcal 3 I found is very easy to use & it really woke my truck up!
