has anyone tried this?

ok so currently i have an edge and i'm going to finely get a sct for custom tunes. heres my dilemma i would like to have gauges and what not, but don't feel like forking out $600 for an sct livewire. if i do the tuning with the sct will the gauges on the edge still work? the reason i don't wanna upgrage to a gryphon is because i need data logging.
thank you any info is greatly appreciated.

You could also sell the Edge and buy a ScanGauge. Make sure you return the truck to stock before you try to put a tune on it using a different programmer!

i know, i would buy the one msd makes, it's exactly the same thing as the edge just no tuning. but since the edge will work i think i'll keep it, i don't see myself getting more then $250-$300 for it anyways.

thank you for all your guy's help.

Well, this way you'll be able to compare the tunes on each of the programmers! That's more than most of us have done.
