programmer question

I am wanting to get a gryphon for my 03. My question is on the three tunes are you able to change the parameters for each tune? Meaning if i had the performance tune could i set them a special way but when i go to towing Tune can i set them another way for towing? Then once i set them will they stay like that when i switch from one tune to another. Im hoping i make since and yall understand what i am asking

Thanks Guys

I think I DO understand what you're asking and if I do, the answer is no. There's a number of things Bill does in each tune to make it work properly for the task it's designed to do. Your "user" options do not cover all those parameters. Things like transmission line pressure, torque reduction, fueling to keep engine temperatures in the proper range are not something you can adjust.

However, if you set things like Tire Size (TS), Gear Ratio (GR), max RPM, max speed and so on you CAN apply these to any other tune. As you select your new tune, simply go into the "Custom Options" menu and as your VERY FIRST STEP, scroll to and select "Load Previous Settings". That will apply ALL your previous customizations, for the last tune you applied them to, to the new tune you are entering. Customizations are not tune specific! There is only ONE "custom options" file. Any changes you make from that point become part of a new custom options file.

Just to reiterate one of Jack's points - there is one custom options file, not one per tune. For example, if you set your tire size, you can use that same tire size for each tune by following the steps Jack outlined above. You cannot, however, have a different tire size for each tune. If I understand your question, I think we've answered it.

I am going to try to add a little more. The unit comes with 3 canned tunes. 1, a shift change only tune, 2, an 87 towing tune, and 3, a 91 performance tune. These, you can do some custom SETTINGS to change as you wish. Shifting and octane, etc. But, you should never tow on a performance tune. It only takes about a minute, literally, to change between tunes.

Once you get your custom tunes, you not ever have to change anything other than tires if you change sizes. If you have a tow tune and a performance tune, again, it takes about a minute to switch.
