Take it to autozone and borrow a code checker.

Do you have all 4 O2 sensors. 2 in front of cats and 2 after cats? If you do not have the 2 after the cats you will get a check engine light. This can be fixed by replacing those O2 sensors or using MIL eliminators which trick the computer into thinking they are there. Have a local auto parts store or mechanic pull the codes for you and let us know which ones you have.
