canned tunes problem/?

I just received my SCT SF3 and decided to install the prepogrammed tune while i wait for the custom tunes from Troyer. After doing so i started up the truck and headed down the driveway when the Electronic Throttle Control light came on (wrench). The engine and tranny strarted shaking at idle and shook worse when i pressed the gas and it didn't really go anywhere. Needless to say i put it right back into the garage and restored it back to stock. Does anyone know why this happened? The only thing i changed in the user adjustments was the airbox setting. I changed it from stock to "JLT CAI". Granted i don't have a JLT CAI, i have an Airaid intake. But, i thought that wouldn't matter as long as it was on a setting other than stock. Please help. I will be calling Troyer in the morning to confirm what is going on.

I thought that the canned tunes were for stock trucks as well. I called Troyer today to see when the custom tunes were gonna be done and they said 10-12 weeks!! I asked if the canned tunes would be okay to use in the meantime, and he said yes. He was well aware of the mods that i have, so why did they say i could use the canned tunes? The only mods i have are an intake and exhaust btw.

Set your intake to stock, and you should be fine.

Even though I don't know too much about the SCT platform, I have to agree with mikebaby - set your airbox setting back to stock and see what happens.

If Mike said you could run your truck on the canned tunes, I'd have to bet you can.

Troyer told me to keep the intake setting to stock with the Airaid CAI. I waiting to install the Airaid until I had the Troyer tunes, but they assured me I would have been fine.

Thanks Mike! I put the airbox setting back to "stock" and it works and runs fine. I definitely can feel the difference with the canned tunes but i can't wait to get the custom tunes from Troyer. Just wish it didin't take sooo long.

Mike's great at what he does and has lots of customers. Guess that's the only good reason for having to wait, huh? I know the wait is difficult, but have fun playing with your new gadget in the interim!

That's going to be one long wait! I'm really glad I was able to get my tunes in a couple of weeks.
