Question Question

I have had my Edge Evolution Programmer since 2006. I have loved it ever since I installed it....My question is what does the T-----, this is what actually shows up on the odometer reading, mean. It only comes up when the program is installing or when I change the program on my truck. While waiting for the program to finish installing, you can push the trip reset button and then the #1 shows up....If you keeping pushing the trip reset button the numbers get higher until it reaches 20 then it starts over at 1. I believe mine started at #5 or 6 instead of #1. So does anyone have any idea what this is for? The dealership said they have no idea what it means...

When the Edge is programming your PCM, it is replacing data that is stored there with new data. I honestly cannot remember if programming the PCM "zeros" the trip odometer, but I think it does (at least with a Gryphon). I'd just ignore the trip reset button if I were you while the PCM is being programmed. You don't want to confuse things.

And, the dealership won't know much of anything - leave them out of the loop.
