Best combo?

I'm really getting the itch for a tuner/intake combination purchase sometime soon.
Either the SCT tuned X3 or the Gryphon by PHP. I don't know about the intake, was thinking a Volant. Which intake would grant the most gain in horsepower?
ALSO.. if I need to take the truck in to the dealer, what do I do? I have to un-do the tune don't I?

Thanks in advance,
Will

Please read the sticky at the top of this forum - it covers when to return the tune to stock (and it's an easy procedure).

As for the intake - I suspect they're all pretty similar, but some seem to be more prone to cause a "drone", and, on certain MY vehicles they can cause a lean running problem.

One of the intakes that doesn't have these problems is the "Gotts" style mod you do yourself. It costs less than $10 too. Look in the "How To" section for threads on this.

I run a volant intake and a gryphon with the custom tunes and I love it, I noticed alot of big power gains even with the tires.

Got a Volant here for over 60,000 miles with Edge on level 2 or 3 depending fuel fundage. Awesome combo, can't stand driving the truck stock anymore. Volant sounds great with the tune. It's fun to drive. Worlds of difference.
