Will removing an intake affect custom tunes?

Here's my question. I'm removing my intake, I have 25,000 miles of data on it and it's proven to do nothing but cause a nuisance. But I also have a Gryphon with custom tunes. Will removing the intake cause any issues with the Gryphon's tunes?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong:

Generally when you add an intake there's the chance you could run lean. Since you have an '07 (same as me) it's more than likely not an issue. Your custom tunes took advantage of the increased airflow, though, and compensated for it if even in the slightest.

If you take it off there's a chance it could go the other way and run a little rich, but personally I wouldn't worry about it. Check up with Bill at the PHP Forums to get a solid answer from the guy that wrote your tunes.

What cai? What's wrong with it? If the cai changed the MAF housing size and it was tuned for than you'll need to get new tunes for the stock intake.

The MAF housing size change is what causes the need for tuning changes.

If tunes were built for a CAI and you return to stock, you will most likely end up with a slightly rich condition. While certainly better than a lean condition, a recuild of the calibrations is definitely a good idea.
