Xcal 2 and an 08 F150

I have an Xcal 2 that I used for another vehicle. Before I sold the car, I returned it to stock so I could unlock the Xcal for another vehicle. I would like to order a tune from VMP since I have used them before and really liked the results. Have any of you used an Xcal 2 on an 08? I was told that a few folks had problems with the xcal 2 on the 08's and the Xcal 3 may be a better choice since I have an 08. I would really like to save money and use my Xcal 2 but I thought I would ask here if anyone has used it on an 08 with success.

I believe that PHP will let you trade in your xcal2 for credit on a xcal3, I'm not sure but VMP may do the same thing.

Yes..VMP has a trade program too.

I believe that there are several posts on a couple of sites about the X2 not working with our 08's..

I will try and dig them up...

Thanks for the info, looks like I'll be saving for an Xcal 3.
