Did you bother to call and ask the companies??? Maybe one does more than just write tunes. Maybe one makes it a priority to do tunes. I don't think anybody on this forum can tell you EXACTLY why there is a difference because they don't work for both companies!

Just my .02 worth.

Its Mikes quality control he makes every tune that comes out of the Troyer shop not like some other places where they have many guys doing them, As for tuning power I did check out the tunes on the 06 supercharged f150 on there site and I did make lots more power over the vmp tunes

Mike has been doing this for many years. You always know your getting the best. I never second guess or wonder about some other Tuner down the street. If you have been reading f-150 for the last 8-10 years like myself, you would not even consider having some other companyTune your truck. I have had conversations with Mike in the past and the first thing you realize is he has such great knowledge and passion for what he does. No offense to any other Tuner out there but MIKE TROYER is the MICHAEL JORDAN of performance tuning. I never wonder WHAT IF?

I've had both tuners in my truck and I am happy to say VMP by far has the better result. Shifting is WAY better with the vmp.

From my experience, that is the farthest thing from the truth.

The very first time i called the shop, Mike talked to me for well over an hour and i was a first time customer.

Well all I can say is all of the tuners and people I have talked to in this business seem very knowledgeable and extremely nice genuine people. If they aren't too busy they all seem willing to talk your ear off. This tuning community is very refreshing and very interesting to talk to many of the great folks involved.

What are you basing this on??? I am curious because nobody has posted any dyno sheets comparing horsepower, torque, A/F ratios, etc.....

A few members on here have had both tunes, surprised none of them have replied yet.

But from what I know, VMPs got great service, instant communication, and good prices which is exactly what buyers are looking for when buying a major product.

I have no doubt that VMP does a great job. There are more than enough posts on here to back that up. Still, I have not seen ANY evidence comparing VMP and Troyer tunes or anything else yet.

You have listed some good reasons to go with VMP also but there may be other reasons to go with someone else.

Just my thoughts and opinion.

Troyer tuned 4 years ago!

And my truck still runs strong! Never gave me any reason to question weather I got the right tuner or not.
