A Video of VMP Dyno in Houston

Well I have had Troyer tunes for a couple of years and was going to use him again after I rebuilt my motor but the opportunity came up that Justin at VMP was going to be a couple hours away with his mobile dyno that I had to go to get dyno tuned instead of the data log/email route with Troyer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKwmjXDDu9o the first half of the video is still pictures and then the dyno tuning starts, my truck is on there around the 3 minute mark.

I have to say Justin was very nice a professional and we got good numbers I feel. I have had a little issues with the tranny part of the tune but he has been getting that worked out for me. A comparisson is that they are both equally good tuners and I have had good customer services form both so either way I couldnt have gone wrong. hope yall enjoy the video which was compliments from tj03f150.

Sweet, give Justin a heads up for this. I'm guessing he might want to use this video for the the SCT website.

Very cool video, the editing for the beginning is great.

It looks like the mobile dyno was setup in some dude's backyard....I bet the neighbors really loved that.

Thanks for sharing. I could watch finely tuned vehicles on the dyno all day long.

It is a max performance tune that I use as a daily driver. I really should of went with the 8lb lower due to the dropped compression but that will be later when I upgrade the fuel system and injectors and most important the trans.

Huitt24 did you make the video or did someone else? I'm just curious because I want to get a copy of it if it's cool.

So you're giving a compliment to Justin? Or was that a mistake?

How much boost are you running? I would think with a built engine you would be like mid 400's+ power?

It is running 10.5lbs of boost, remember I have the ported blower, ported heads and the LT's and free flow exhaust. It is pullied for close to 13.5lbs of boost but because it is so free flowing it is only seeing 10.5lbs, also my compression ratio is dropped down from 9.8-1 to 9-1. With a 6lb pulley it will bring it back to were I was before the compression drop. so I basically picked up 22RWHP/43RWTQ after the rebuild. Also for some reason my truck was not liking a lot of timing, which was kind of a let down with the dropped compression. The first pull that was done with zero timing was 392/453 which was still more than before the engine build of 390/446. So it is still a work in progress. The biggest jump was in TQ which is what you will feel.

TJ was the one who filmed the video and did the final compiliation, the camera he used was a real nice set up dont know what brand it was but it looked like a scaled down version of a tv camera. Pm him to get all the details.
