Somewhere in the past I was told about chemicals that a dealer can supply but they are POWERFUL chemicals .You might talk to someone who handles ozone cleaning systems. That can work but I don't know how you would get inside the system.
Smells ? Collection of dust and pollen which become moldy and smelly/dangerous !

I have had fairly good luck with Einszett Klima Cleaner. It is from the top down, not bottom up like the 2nd video.

The drain is on the passenger side on the firewall down low.

You might have to remove the inner fender liner to get to it, if you are going at it with that hose.

BTW : Have you checked to make sure the smell is not from the carpet on the passenger side ?

Your best long term solution is going to be having a reputable detailer do an ozone treatment in the vehicle, after checking that the drain is not emptying into the cab of the truck on the passenger side floor in the carpet.
