The DA pads are nice for doing the surface on the cap on my truck when I tested it.

I could go at it, and used my left hand to check the surface to see how I was doing running the flex on 1.5 with my right hand.

Anything other than a flat surface, they are not the best thing.
The 6" over contour surface ( my 06 hood ) did not work that well, and I had to go back and towel in the contours by hand.

Just got it in today. Going to do the hood and see how it does. Truck is in the garage cooling off, hood was pretty hot to the touch, figured it would work better cooled off

Finished the hood and totally impressed. It looks great! No wax or anything on it. Going to wait until next week once I start correction and all that.

Awesome! Glad to hear the medium one worked. I sure like that the metal-flake in that paint.

That came out great! Should have done a side by side clay and sponge. It's a game changer though isn't it

I'd consider getting a fine grade one as well.

I actually thought about it but didn't want to be out 20 bucks for clay for a comparision. I doubt I will ever buy the clay again

For this detail I will use the Medium for the whole truck since I am doing a full correction anyway. But after that I will definitely get the fine grade. Just needed the medium for the overspray that was covering the hood.
