02 Mercedes Ml 320 Full Correction and Detail

Picked up a 02 M Class last weekend and as with all vehicles i always do a full detail as quickly as possible.

I dont have many before pictures, I really didn't think it was going to be a hard of a job as the paint just had a few scratches and lots of swirls. Boy was i wrong! .

Started on Monday Morning and Just finished up this Afternoon. I have somewhere around 16 hours in it.

Products and Steps Used.

1. Clay
2.Megs 105 with a Orange Lake Country Pad
3.Megs 205 with the White Lake Country Pad
4.Black Fire Sealant
5.Black Fire Carnuba

Here is the only before pics that is decent, still sitting at the dealership

Started off using the clay bar, i have seen some nasty vehicles but this one was the worst. I used 1 bar just between the Hood and Fender, Took about 4 passes each to get everything off.

Next was the Compound, Polish, Sealant and Wax. Next few pics were taken in the garage as i didn't want to keep moving it out and back in. So they aren't the best as far as light output

After finishing up the outside i started with the inside, The dealership detail guy got a little happy with all the shiney slick crap and sprayed it everywhere and forgot to wipe it up in most areas. Also he didnt bother wiping down the dirty places on the inside door handles etc and just sprayed the shine over it. I have never liked the greasy shine and just like the clean look. Ended up hitting it with Megs Interior Cleaner and finished up the seats with Poorboy's Leather Stuff.

Overall i am very happy, doesnt look like a 02 Model with 129,000 miles on it.

Excellent work!

On the really nasty contaminated vehicles I like to spray the paint with IronX and rub it in with a foam wax applicator sponge.
After, I do a thorough rinse with the hose and then proceed to the clay stage. You'd be surprised at how much IronX removes.
