My Other Vehicle

So you guys have obviously seen my truck and my motorcycles, and should have noticed how spotless they are. Just finished up the the spring cleaning (which is a relative term since my cars look like this all the time) on my car the other day and thought I'd share.

2002 IS300 bought new in '02. This car is a daily driver with two kids and just hit 121,000 miles. Yes...these are phone camera pics, so they could be a little better, but I'm not much of a photographer so it wouldn't have been much better.

I tried to take some pics of the reflection of a 200 lumen LED SureFire in the paint to show you guys how flawless it is, but couldn't get them good enough with the phone.

Like I said, not the best pics, but I can assure you the paint is completely flawless. You want to check your polishing skillz/results...take a LED light and instead of looking at where the light is shining, look at the reflection of the flashlight on the surface of the paint. That's where it'll show everything. The truck is next in a few weeks when I get the time, so stay tuned.

there is some wax on the raised letters of the marker light on the rear bumper......haha just messin but wow man looks amazing with that kind of milage and kids too shows what A LOT of tlc and care will do.

i used to detail cars at i high end body shop when i was in high school i would have gotten chewed for leaving wax on a light. I was basically trained to be a OCD/**** with that little crap

Beautiful car Galaxy, that is still one my favorite cars to this day. Lightweight, RWD, high revving inline-6, and classy good looks.

I'm curious how with two kids you find the time to detail a vehicle like that. I only have one and feel as if I'm lucky to get my vehicles washed half the time, much less detailed......

Having detailed a few Lexus products (and having a son who's a Service Technician at the local Lexus dealer), I can appreciate the paint on yours. They do one hell of a nice paint job on them - and that one looks extra nice. The IS is my all time favorite model though.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Yea Nick...very underestimated car. This thing is a blast to drive. Bilstein coil-overs on mine too.

ddellwo...don't know what say my man! Priorities. Vehicles are a priority at my house. Plus, the detailing part is a hobby and not some chore that needs doing once a month like cutting grass.

2stroked..:you're correct. This thing has a phenomenal paint job on it. It's got the typical orange peel of A factory paint job, but Lexus is leaps and bounds better than other brands I've inspected...i.e. Ford.
