HELP! Gorilla glue on my paint!!

I now know why this is called the strongest glue in the world.
I was putting my PTM handle covers on and wanted them to have a sturdy hold other than double sided tape so i used so gorilla glue, on two of the 4 handles it ran down the paint about 5"s before i saw it. I tried wiping it off but too late. I have tried to claybar it off but my arm is going to fall off before it does.
How do i get it off??

Thanks,

Have you tried anything to soften the glue at all like Naptha or 3M adhesive remover? I know Gorilla glue is a polyurathane based glue and is going to be a pain the **** to remove no matter what you use.

how is the condition of the paint?? try seeing if you can gently slip a razor blade sideways underneath the glue to raise it off the factory finish.

I dont think i can do that. The paint is too nice for me to take a razor to it. I havent tried any adhesive remover yet, i didnt think it would do anything since the glue is so harder but i will try it.

how high is the glue? Maybe use a razor and cut it down a little then go at it with the clay bar.

Possibly sand paper?

I used a tiny amount of "Goof Off" on the wife's car for what appeared to be contact cement.....Took it right off. Followed up with wax and it was flawless. this was on a 2010 vehicle, so I made certain to test it on the inside door panel first.

Good luck

This isn't as harsh at it seems. When i worked at a car dealership we used to do this all the time. Just spray some quik detailer on and be very very careful. Let the blade do the work and don't apply any extra force.

I would use a plastic razor blade, but not a metal one on the paint. One little slip with a metal razor blade will be far worse than having a little glue on your paint.
