so with what i've been reading it sound like some sealant and waxs are the way to go..one that seam to come up alot is jetseal and some other waxes
so what are you pro detailers using on red to get a deep and long lasting shine?
also if i do go to a seal do i need to tape off rubber and text plastic to keep it off them

Ok, lets put this to rest.
For your new 09 this is what you need to do:
Get a Clay Kit and some Extra QD.
Wash the truck, (2buckets, no cotton wash mits)
Dry the truck, no cotton, MF only
Clay it
Then use the Meg's over the counter stuff at big box retailers using a foam applicator.
Are you doing this by hand or machine? If so, what machine?
Obviously this is a little abridged (b/c 100% of it is in the sticky) but what you don't want is to compound anything on an 09, no reason, nor is there any reason to buy any of the "ice" products...they are total junk.
There are many elders lurking around in the CD section, many of which know Red better than most.
