Interior armrest

I just noticed my driver's side arm rest on the door has become pretty nasty and I have tried over and over to clean it, but nothing seem to be working. I was even about using Mr. Clean magic eraser today to see if that cleans it up. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

What have you used? They're typically easy to clean. Most of the time any dressing with light cleaners (I personally use Poorboy's Natural Look Dressing or Obsessive Details Silk Shine Dressing) in it will work but if I ever need to use something stronger for whatever reason I will go to Meg's APC+ 10:1 or even 4:1 if necessary. Is it just dirt from normal, regular use or do you work construction or something else that may cause it to be unnusually dirty and stubborn?

Believe it or not, I've had good luck getting this kind of stuff clean using a toothbrush and a little bit of toothpaste. The toothpaste seems to have just enough abrasive cleaning action to remove the grunge, but no so much that it mars the finish of the plastic. I use Crest "Extra Whitening" formula, as it seems to have just a little more grit to it than normal toothpastes......

When I was a tech at the dealer, my door handles always got pretty dirty picking up boats from customers, on-site service, etc.

I have always had good luck with a toothbrush and some simple green diluted 10:1 and then a follow up with 303.
