Megs #16 for $9.00 shipped (sold out)

This was shared over on the Megs board so I thought I'd post it here, Meg #16 wax for $9.00 shipped on ebay. This sells online for around $20 plus shipping. This is a realy good deal for this wax!

Hard carnuba wax but still has good gloss. Megs does not sell this in the US any longer due to VOC laws.

** Price increase on Meg $16. Relisted at $6.99 plus $7.33 shipping. Buy Now option only **

That is a really good deal #16. Although I am wondering if this person has actually used #16 before because of his description and all takes is one spot put on to thick and you are going to hate you self.

Well, he does say it's easy to _apply_. About removing he says just buff off. But I agree.

I've not used #16 but I have used Colinite 476 which they also say is hard to remove. I've put it on a clayed vehicle with NXT 2.0 as a base and it was very easy to just wipe off. I suppose on a non-prepped vehicle #16 can be difficult to remove if put on too thick.

I ordered 3 tins. Last I heard the ebayer had about 230 cans left. Can't beat that price. I almost bought a can a few days ago for $22 plus shipping... and that was cheap!

I have six tins my self that I picked up last year and I think I paid 25 a tin. I did my truck last year with NXT 2.0 and then topped it with #16 and I put it on to thick on one of the bed sides and I was cussing quite a bit trying to get it off.

My opinion is that #16 is WAY overhyped. It is a good wax, but I don't feel it's any better than other much more common and easy to use waxes. For me Collinite 845 gives very similar performance and is far easier to work with.

You are probably right. I have 845 in my collection and I am going to give it a try on my prewinter details of my truck and the wifes car and see how it holds up.

I'm going to agree with hwm3 here. (As usual) I've used #16, as well as Collonite 845 and 476 (among others) and I really don't understand the reverance for the stuff. Sure, it delivers a decent shine and the water beading effect is pretty neat, but that's just one side of the card. The flip side is that if you put it on too thick, it's a bear to get off - just like 476. (If you layer 476 or #16 over something else though, they're pretty easy to get off.) On the longevity side, I don't think it lasts nearly as long as either Collonite product.

So, I have a couple of tins of the stuff, but don't use in on my own vehicles. If a customer asks for it, I charge a little extra. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy more though.

I might get a can, especially for that price. I wanna get it partly to try it out, but mostly to say I have it.

dang it. That auction is over but just look at his other aucitons and he has more. I don't have any colonite but it will far outlast anything else in my box (which isn't small). True it isn't a one product wonder but that was one helluva deal. But then again at that price I'd worry that they might have sperated, or frozen, or dried out, etc...

Definitely worth me grabbing a couple cans. If I knew for sure they would be good I'd get more.

Seller ships Priority mail so some people on Megs have already received several cans. It's been mentioned that some of the wax has a purple tint to it but that this does not change anything. Can's people have bought from other sources are slightly different from each other as well. No one has stated that they have found any problems with the wax.
