Stupid Question

How do I wash and wax the top of my hood and roof? There is no way I can reach and I hate a dirty truck. Thanks for any input.

There is no such thing as a "stupid question"! Have you tried standing in the bed, or a small step ladder to wash the roof? That's what I do.

I am not a short person and I need to get the step ladder out to wash the hood and the roof of my truck. I tried standing on the bed rails but soap and water along with Hyperdressing on the bed rails I almost ended up in the ER after slipping.

I have a ladder to reach mine. They make a step that hooks to the front tire that I've seen before, but that would leave you washing the cab with a door open standing on the sill. The ladder is a headache but it's not too bad.

i use a 3ft boars hair brush. works perfect and i stand on the front wheels for the front of the roof, and get in the bed for the rear section of the roof. i dont even need to reach hard for the windshield.

Maybe consider one of those round 2-ft step stools that have wheels on the bottom. I have one and love it. Makes it easy to reposition the stool with your foot. I used to just stand in the bed but now have a tonneau so that doesn't work anymore. Good luck to you.

I cheat when washing my hood... I use the built in step on my grille guard, I can reach all the way to the front window...

I use the step bars when washing the roof...

With the step bars I can reach more than half way across my roof and I can reach past the mirror for my front window...

I use these for the hood. (I am 5'7")

For the roof, I just use a ladder and the truck.

Thanks for all the replies. Alot of great ideas. I will probably buy the step stool thing from lowes. That seems like the best/safest idea.
