Rock chip in windshield

Has any one used the permatex windshield repair kit for rock chips? I've got a rock ship in my windshield and am thinking of trying this.

if you have pics of before and after please post and let me know what you think about it.

Check with your insurance company first. Even if your comprehensive has a deductible, some companies will pick up the whole tab if the glass place uses a repair kit instead of replacing the windshield.

Good info. My insurance company paid for it all. Safelite fixed the peck and I had no out of pocket expense. - Og

They also have windshield repair kits available in auto stores. I picked one up from Target to fix a small chip in my windshield, although now I can't find it. I don't know how well these things work though.
